These forty days before Easter, we are observing the season of repentance and reflection called Lent. Lent is a time for recognizing how great my needs truly are. But Lent is also the time when God shows me most clearly that in Christ all my greatest needs are met. If I lack Christ, I have nothing. But if I have Christ, I have Exactly What I Need.

It Is Finished
Zechariah wrote hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth, and yet described Jesus’ last days with breathtaking accuracy. As we lay the prophet’s ancient words alongside the Gospel accounts, we’ll see God’s salvation plan unfolding with stunning precision. Zechariah wrote to tell the world, “He is coming.” When Jesus came, he declared, “It Is Finished.”
